Ecstasy or MDMA reaches maximal concentrations in the blood between 1.5 and 3 hours after ingestion. It is then slowly metabolized and excreted, with levels decreasing to half their peak concentration over approximately 8 hrs. Thus, there are still high MDMA levels in the body when the experiential effects have mostly ended, indicating that the brain has developed short-term tolerance to the presence of MDMA. Taking additional MDMA at this point therefore produces higher concentrations of MDMA in the blood and brain than might be expected based on the perceived effects. The most common physical side effects reported by users include Urinary retention, abnormal pupil dilation, Increased physical energy, increased heart rate and blood pressure and increased mean body temperature.
How Do I use The Test ?
Open the sealed test cassette and allow to come to room temperature (15-30°C) prior to testing. Remove the test cassette or strip from the sealed pouch and place on a clean level, dry surface.
Transfer 3 full drops of urine (approx. 100µl) to the specimen well of the test cassette. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well . Refer to the Illustration below.
Start the timer and wait for the red line(s) to appear. The results should be read at 5 minutes. Results remain stable for up to four hours.
